In 2011, Ming Gor’s Pei Ho Barbecue Restaurant, providing affordable meals to Sham Shui Po’s grassroots, was on the brink of closing down. Thankfully, a TV program’s report on the restaurant turned their fate around.
In response, Ming Gor decided to devote a portion of profits towards distributing boxed meals to the homeless & elderly. To date, 1,100 free boxed meals are distributed weekly on Thursday and Saturday & 50,000 people are involved in volunteering.
