The Stanford Club of Hong Kong would like to invite you to enjoy a unique experience at Dignity Kitchen.

Dignity Kitchen is a social enterprise with the mission to restore dignity to the differently-abled by providing vocational training and employment opportunities at their “Singaporean hawker-style” food centre in Mongkok.

The 7-stalls food centre is staffed by the differently-abled and disadvantaged, serving Singaporean street food as well as delivery of bentos for both commercial and charity purposes. At the heart of the company’s mission is its approach to restoring dignity to the differently-abled and the disadvantaged through skills training, job placement and integration. (For more information, please visit https://www.projectdignity.hk/)

The Stanford Club of HK has organized a visit for our alumni community, which will include a talk from founder Koh Seng Choon and a tour through their centre. Afterwards, we will get to help the Dignity Kitchen team pack bento boxes which will be donated for the underprivileged and elderly.

Those who are interested can also arrive earlier and join for an optional, casual lunch with fellow alumni – the food is delicious there!

Agenda:

*1:30-2:30pm:  Lunch (optional)*

2:30-3:00pm:  Tour + Talk

3:00-4:00pm:  Bento box packing. Recommended age is 12 years old or older for hygienic reasons, but feel free to bring younger kids to join for the eating + touring around.

Please RSVP to Kristine at kristineky@gmail.com.
